New Year, New Site
Happy New Year from Aphorisms Galore! and Wastholm Media! The site is about to undergo some major changes in the near future. Read on if you're curious. Tomorrow, on New Year's Day, Aphorisms Galore! is six years old, and it's time for another overhaul. Version 3 of the site will, I hope, be launched within a few weeks. Long-time users may recall how version 2 introduced discussion forums, improved user profile management, and a semi-automated contribution system. At the time of writing, the "Contributions" section contains several hundred entries; perhaps you are wondering what will become of them. If I have been really slow at taking care of these contributions lately, it is because much of my time has been tied up in other projects and because I have been prioritizing work on the aforementioned version 3 of the site, which will streamline the contribution process and introduce a host of new features and improvements. It will be based on a new community-building and content-management application platform that I am developing; more on this later. The new site will come online soon.
