Judy, I'm sorry to hear about your problems. I have sent
you an email, but I thought I'd reply here as well.
All Aphorisms Galore!'s services are currently free of
charge. The site is entirely funded by advertising and
affiliate programs, and there are no immediate plans on
changing this. My company, Wastholm Media, does not even
have a merchant account, which would be necessary in order
for me to make charges to your card. Thus, I have no reason
to even ask users for their credit card numbers.
As always, be wary about submitting your credit card
number -- to me (or someone claiming to be or represent me)
or to anyone else. If I, at some point in the future,
should decide to start charging for current or future
services, and therefore to collect credit card information,
I will use encryption and work with reputable credit card
companies. And, of course, I will be very clear about what
charges I will make to your card.
