Aphorisms Galore!

Copyright

The name Aphorisms Galore!, the "AG" logo, and the slogan "Feed Your Wit" are trademarks of Wastholm Media. The entire site is copyrighted, and all rights to it belong to Wastholm Media.

This includes, but is not limited to, the selection, categorization and presentation of aphorisms; all graphics and layout features; and all editorial or instructional text published throughout the site. It does not, however, include the individual aphorisms themselves — they are of course the property of their respective authors. Nor does it include messages published by visitors in the various discussion forums — these messages remain the property of their respective authors, but Aphorisms Galore! and Wastholm Media hold a non-exclusive right to use them, in full or in part, anywhere on the site or in promotional campaigns.

Normally, aphorisms are considered too brief to be individually copyrighted and can therefore be used quite freely, but there are exceptions. The most important such exception that I am currently aware of is Ashleigh Brilliant, who actively and successfully defends his copyright as applied to each of his aphorisms, at least in the United States. Aphorisms Galore! has requested and received Mr. Brilliant's explicit permission to include a number of his aphorisms in the collection.
